Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed without notice, may be charged a no-show fee of $30 except in emergencies. Life happens, everyone gets one “no-show” without penalty each year.

Melanie Huggard Consulting provides life consulting and coaching services informed by somatic, trauma-aware, and nervous system-focused approaches. These services are educational, relational, and developmental in nature and are not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, or mental health treatment.

Melanie Huggard Consulting respects your privacy and will make reasonable efforts to keep information shared during coaching confidential. However, confidential information may be disclosed when required by law or when there is a reasonable belief that disclosure is necessary to protect you or another person from serious harm.

If during the course of coaching it appears that your needs would be better served through therapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or another licensed professional, I may recommend that you seek those services. Coaching may be paused or discontinued until appropriate support is in place.

You acknowledge that coaching is a collaborative process and that you are solely responsible for the decisions you make, the actions you take, and the results that follow. Melanie Huggard Consulting makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes and shall not be liable for decisions made or actions taken by the client based on coaching discussions or recommendations, except as prohibited by applicable law.

Coaching outcomes vary from person to person. While many clients experience increased clarity, awareness, confidence, or personal growth, no specific results or outcomes are guaranteed.

Coaching sessions may be conducted using Zoom, telephone, email, text messaging, or other electronic communication. While reasonable efforts are made to protect privacy, no electronic communication can be guaranteed completely secure. By participating, you accept these inherent risks.

Coaching is not appropriate for crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, thoughts of harming yourself or others, or require immediate assistance, contact 911, your local emergency services, or go to your nearest emergency department.

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
